  • (03/13/07) Final grades are updated online.
  • (03/07/07) One of you asked and just in case the rest of the class is wondering too, there won't be any more TA office hours, but the TA's willing to meet by appointment. Just blitz.
  • (03/07/07) HW7 is graded and they are now in CS19 outgoing box waiting for you to pick them up.
  • (03/07/07) Final is this Saturday, 3 &ndash 6 PM, in Sudikoff 115.
  • (03/05/07) Afra's office hours are 11-1 tomorrow.

  • (02/19/07) The TA's office hours for HW6 have managed to move one more time. So, it is going to be 17:00 - 19:00 on Monday February 19 and 22:00 - 24:00 on Tuesday February 20.

  • (02/18/07) Afra has changed his "permanent" office hours to Tuesdays, 2:30-4:30 PM, as reflected in the Administrivia page.
  • (02/14/07) No x-hour tomorrow. Your Homework 5 will be due on Wedneday Feb 21 instead of Monday Feb 19. Please disregard earlier announcement about the due date. However, the midterm date stays at Wednesday Feb 21.

  • (02/02/07) On Homework Four, Question 7, you can write the definition of the existential quantifier without dot-dot-dots if you write a big or and put superscripts and subsripts on it, just like we do for the summation notation (big sigma) or product notation (big pi).
  • (01/29/07) – Errata for Homework Two Solutions: On 2b and 2c, if k > n, then the answer is 0. On the second part of the proof for problem 5, "would not missed" should be "would be missed."
  • (01/29/07) – Afra's office hours will be on Tuesday, 11 AM - 1 PM.
  • (01/29/07) – For the midterm, the TA will run a recitation session in Sudikoff 214 from 17:00 - 19:00 on Tues, Jan 30.
  • (01/27/07) – The midterm will cover the first three homeworks, or equivalently, the first 8.5 lectures (set theory, counting, and logic.)
  • (01/26/07) – The midterm will be in Moore B03. This is the building next to Sudikoff on our street.
  • (01/24/07) – Recall: X-hour tomorrow. No class on Friday.
  • (01/22/07) – You can now view your Grades online. Note: Username is exactly the name you provided on your homework and is case-insensitive. Passwords (also provided by you) are case-sensitive however.
  • (01/20/07) – Afra's office hours will be on Tuesday from 11 to 1 for this week.
  • (01/20/07) – Make sure you explain all your results on your homework, even if the problem does not ask for it. So, don't just give the final answer, but show your work.
  • (01/18/07) – The first midterm is now marked on the Schedule. It will be on Wednesday, January 31st, from 7-9 PM in Sudikoff 115 (unless we find a better room.)
