I earned a BS/MS with Sandy Pentland at MIT and Bruce Flinchbaugh at Texas Instruments; earned a PhD with Feng Zhao at Ohio State and Xerox PARC; and conducted postdoctoral research with Bruce Donald at Dartmouth. I was an assistant professor at Purdue before I was recruited back to Dartmouth. I have received an NSF Career award and an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation fellowship, along with regular grants from the NIH, NSF, and other organizations.
Personal
I grew up in Emory, VA, son of Fred and Jeannette Kellogg. I have a younger brother Mark. I met my wife Christine in college; she attended Wellesley. We live in the woods in Vermont with our daughter Amelia and cat Dorrie.
