December 10, 2000. They've torn out the walls on the first floor and finished the trim work. Ready for painting.

January 10, 2001. Tile floor in entryway was expanded. Note also the boxwork attached to the posts on the left, a little hard to see. We needed to run some wires along the closest post, and needed to box them in. We box in the other post for symmetry.

January 10, 2001. Fir patches were applied to places where the posts and beams had been damaged during renovation. The light-colored patch here is a fresh piece of fir. Not ideal, but in many cases the only way to cover old holes or gashes.

January 24, 2001. Floor tiles grouted. Now preparing for the wall tiles.

January 24, 2001. A while ago they framed up this box to cover the wiring next to this post. For symmetry they do it on the other side too. We stained it in an attempt to match post color.

February 16, 2001. Finished wiring network patch panel. In the middle rack you can see that I've wired several ports together into a 4-conductor bus, for phone and LocalTalk support.
