I like to hike and ski, especially in the White Mountains of New
Hampshire, especially with my kids.
On August 24, 1996, I finally finished hiking all 48 of the peaks over 4000' in
the Whites, on Wildcat A.
At left (January 2004): a recent skip trip on the Al Merrill loop of Mount Moosilauke with my friend Dave Metsky.
Some other trips:
- in June 1995 we hiked all of the Presidentials in one day
(whew!),
- in winter 1995-96, Dave Metsky and I took a short but snowy hike to
Mizpah Hut,
- in March 1996 skiied
Moosilauke's Gorge Brook trail.
- on January 1, 1997, we climbed Moosilauke
on a gorgeous day
- we skiied up and down Moosilauke
on another gorgeous day in Febuary 1997
- In August 1997 I climbed Mounts
Moosilauke,
Cube, and
Smarts with my son.
- On New Year's Day, 1999,
we climbed Moosilauke again.

we climbed Moosilauke again.
- In October 2007 I climbed
Moosilauke
with some students.
- In January 2008 I skiied
Cardigan
with David Metsky.
Thanks to Dave Metsky for many of the photos and trip reports.
I often climb to the summit of Moosilauke (that's me on the right).
Here's a cool shot on Mt. Lafayette, from February 1, 1998 (that's Moosilauke in the background):
