The snow was just melting, and the first wildflowers were out.
Rick found that the local Gray Jays were more than willing to land if they could have a bit of Clif bar.

Halfway up the final steep push to Mohawk lake was an old miner's cabin.
The steep final trail led to some great views of the whole valley.
