Lute Festival 2004 Faculty
Ronn McFarlane     Ronn McFarlane began to explore music with rock and classical guitar but turned his full energies to the lute in 1978. Since that time he has performed as a soloist and as a member of The Baltimore Consort, touring throughout North America and Europe. Mr. McFarlane has taught lute and related subjects at the Peabody Conservatory and has over 22 recordings on the Dorian label. In addition, he has produced a video of original lute compositions and edited a companion book for The Scottish Lute CD. His second recording of Scottish lute music, entitled Highland King, has just recently been issued. Photo by Kenneth Bé.
