Lute Festival 2004 Faculty
Nigel North     Nigel North has for nearly thirty years developed a unique musical life which embraces varied activities as teacher, accompanist, soloist, director, and writer. He published a continuo tutor (Faber 1987), and has made several solo CDs, including the successful “Bach on the Lute” series and the more recent “Go From my Window,” all for Linn Records. He has been a Professor of Lute at Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London), Professor of Historical Plucked Instruments at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin, and since 1999 has been Professor of Lute at the Early Music Institute, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.
