Newsletter and Quarterly
We have embarked on a project to post here on the Lute Society of America website the Tables of Contents for all of the issues of our more informal periodical publications, the Newsletter, which ran from 1966 to 1988, and the Quarterly, which has appeared from 1989 to the present. While we are aware that these publications are indexed in The Music Index, we also realize that many of our members and others potentially interested in this material do not have access to that service. Posting the information on the website in an open format allows easy searching of the Contents from the entry box at the bottom of our Homepage or with any web searching service of your choice.
This is clearly a much more extensive body of information than the Tables of Contents of the Journal of the LSA, which have been available on this website for many years, since here each issue contains numerous short articles and individual pieces of music. Thus each volume of the publications will have its own separate page, and we ask your patience with the development process, since the large amount of data entry will take quite some time and will necessarily depend on the efforts of some volunteers.
