My research interests are in the general areas of Distributed Systems and Information Management. Specifically, they include distributed event-based systems, mobile and ubiquitous computing, streaming processing, security and privacy, and human computer interaction.I am part of the Solar project team and my thesis advisor is professor David Kotz.

The projects that I have worked on in the past few years mainly include

• resource-optimization algorithms for low-bandwidth data-dissemination systems
  - group-aware filtering for efficient multicast

• distributed stream processing
  -time-decaying persistent storage and push-and-pull query interfaces

• scalable middleware infrastructure for pervasive computing
  - load balancing and operator migration

• adaptive portal on pervasive client devices
  - contex-aware portal aggregation for devices with different form factors
