A. To get Mathematica: 1. On PUBLIC, click on "Licensed Software" 2. Click on "KeyServer Controlled Software" 3. Click on "No Support" 4. Click on "Mathematica 2.2.2" 5. Copy the appropriate version of 2.2.2 to your hard disk - fpu means floating point unit - you should know if you have this... B. To get the programs: 1. On PUBLIC, click on "Course and Support" 2. Click on "Academic Deparments and Courses" 3. Click on "Math" 4. Click on "Math 20" 5. There is some OLD stuff here (I'll get rid of it soon). The only relevant thing is the "TextPrograms-Mathematica" folder. Copy this to your hard disk. C. To run the programs: 1. Open up your "TextPrograms-Mathematica" folder 2. Click on the "Important Programs" application. As I mentioned in class, it should come up and ask if you want all the cells initialized - say yes, this loads in your Mathematica "utilities". 3. The programs reside in the folder "Book Programs" and are organized by Chapter. 4. HAVE FUN!
