The chanter plays both octaves quite reasonably in tune, in the summer evenings in New England. The bottom d burbles. The chanter seems to favor being a little sharp of a440. (update - it plays in the dry Vermont winter, too. ) You will notice I have put a little wax in the tone holes for tuning. This is normal for uilleann pipe chanters. (note: if you are a beginner, one of the arts of piping is messing with the reeds to get them to work in different humidity conditions. It would greatly help if you have an experienced uilleann piper to advise you!)
The bag and bellows are tight and work very well.
Here are some short recordings made on my Mac laptop computer.
They play on windows with RealPlayer and Quicktime, but don't seem to
work with windows media player. You can get RealPlayer and Quicktime
players for free.
