Dating 51 - f the filler is stamped with "press six times" it's a 47-49 pen, after that it will be stamped "press 4 times".For undated barrels, if there is a small impression on the cap on the opposite side from the clip "made in the USA" it's post 1954. If the filler is stamped "use dry writing Superchrome ink" the pen is pre 1956 -- pens made later will be stamped "use Parker ink" or "use Quink ink" as Superchrome ink was discontiued in 1956.
