      We finished working through Ch. 8 of the Ruby under the Microscope 
book. Please finish reading this chapter and look at the disassembly. The 
code we've looked at is in ruby/lambda*.rb , notes inside the code.
Finish reading Ch. 3 and 4.

      I posted the midterm warm-up exercises in

      The midterm will take place Saturday Apr 30--Tuesday May 3 (with a 
possible extension to Thursday May 5. The midterm will be posted on 
Saturday at noon.
