Please plan to devote your time to x86 exercises sent out earlier, and to complete them by the coming Tuesday/Wednesday. Once you have gained an understanding of the x86 binary execution model, read sections 5.1--2 and 7.1--3 of the Mitchell textbook. I suggest doing it in this order, because the abstractions explained in the textbook become much clearer once you know how their basic cases are actually implemented. Ignore the ML-related parts for now. This coming week, we'll proceed to LISP, so if you feel like reading ahead, Chapter 3 of Mitchell on LISP will be next.
